Vietnam's kite season
The ideal time for kitesurfing in Vietnam is during the Northeast Monsoon, from November to March, when the winds are strong and reliable, ranging from 15 to 30 knots. Among these months, December through February are particularly optimal, offering the best conditions for kitesurfing across various spots. During this period, you can expect consistent wind patterns and favorable weather for an exceptional kiting experience.
The Southwest Monsoon, from May to September, brings lighter winds (10 to 20 knots) and more rain, making it less favorable for serious kiting but still enjoyable for casual riders.
