You can expect winds of 8 to 12 knots on most days, with around 30 days offering stronger winds, especially when the Shamal blows, bringing conditions of 20 to 25 knots.
Kitesurfing is also possible in summer, but temperatures often exceed 40°C (104°F) with very warm water. Thermal winds can still provide good conditions, though you'll need to handle the heat!
