A guide to Boracay's top spots and the ideal season to kite.

Kitesurfing in Boracay: The Pearl of the Orient Awaits

Boracay, often celebrated as “The Pearl of the Orient Seas,” is not only known for its stunning beaches and vibrant nightlife but also as a top kitesurfing destination in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. This tropical paradise, famous for its soft white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters, offers a unique blend of exhilarating water sports and serene island vibes.

Boracay’s pristine beaches and ideal wind conditions make it a top choice for kitesurfers. White Beach and Bulabog Beach provide perfect settings for both beginners and advanced riders. With its clear waters, consistent winds, and lively yet laid-back atmosphere, Boracay offers an unparalleled kitesurfing experience. Whether you're aiming to master new tricks or simply enjoy a smooth ride, Boracay’s diverse kitesurfing spots cater to all levels.

Boracay's kite season

The kitesurfing season in Boracay runs from late October to March or early April. During this time, the northeast Amihan winds consistently blow at 15-25 knots, occasionally reaching over 30 knots. These conditions are ideal for kitesurfing, with temperatures ranging from 25°C to 32°C and minimal rainfall.

Peak Season is from December to March when the island can get crowded, especially during Christmas, Easter, and Chinese New Year. To avoid the busiest times, plan your trip outside these peak periods.

Off-Season, from late May to October, brings the Habagat monsoon with less predictable winds and more rain, making it less suitable for kitesurfing. However, this period offers cheaper holiday deals and a quieter island experience.
