Flat water riding paradise
Dahab is a captivating town on the southeast coast of the Sinai Peninsula. It has evolved into a world-class kitesurfing destination on the Red Sea. Nestled in the Gulf of Aqaba, the town benefits from consistent, strong winds due to the wind funneling through the gulf, making it windier than many other Egyptian spots.
This charming Bedouin town offers a diverse range of kitesurfing opportunities. Beginners and advanced riders alike can enjoy its shallow-water flat lagoons, deeper water areas, and adventurous trips to secluded lagoons like the famous Blue Lagoon.
Unlike many tourist hubs, Dahab retains its authentic, primitive charm, free from commercialized stores and global fast-food chains. Essential amenities are readily available, including grocery stores and healthcare facilities. For a broader range of services and vibrant nightlife, the bustling city of Sharm El Sheikh is just 80 kilometers away.
With exceptional wind conditions, stunning underwater landscapes, and a welcoming local culture, Dahab stands out as a must-visit destination for any kitesurfing addict. If you're looking for a more buzzing trip, check out Egypt's most popular kite spot: El Gouna.
